One lucky reader of The Bikers' Guide to Derbyshire has won a motorcycle satnav in a prize draw organised by Derby and Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership.
Graeme Willett received his prize from Andy Adlington, the partnership's motorcycle officer, on Tuesday 16 June.
Graeme said: "This satnav is the perfect addition to my bike! I've travelled all over the world on two wheels so I understand the importance of planning my journey.
"As a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists, I've always taken rider safety seriously. I'm glad that the partnership is helping us to stay safe while enjoying the freedom of the road"
The partnership offered riders the chance to enter the prize draw by going online and subscribing to bikermail - its free e-newsletter for motorcyclists. The prize draw was advertised in the partnership's annual publication for leisure riders - The Bikers' Guide to Derbyshire.
The 2009 edition of the bikers' guide explains how to survive 14 'hot' routes where riders are running into trouble and sign up for Bike-Plus training.
Thanks to a subsidy offered by Derbyshire County Council, bikers can usually take advantage of Bike Plus training for as little as £50 if they live in Derbyshire or £90 if they live outside the county.
Free copies of the bikers' guide are available from Call Derbyshire on 08456 058 058 and from most motorcycle retailers in the county.
Everyone who subscribed to bikermail before Friday 29 May received a free hi-vis jacket provided by the Highways Agency.
