The simulated rescues will show how firefighters, police and paramedics work together to save injured people.
The first event at 8pm on Thursday 25 November is being hosted by Parkside Community School in Chesterfield. The second event at 11am on Thursday 2 December is being hosted by Chesterfield College at their Infirmary Road campus.
David Hutchinson, a group manager from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “These hard-hitting, graphic demonstrations do reflect the atrocious scenes that we face every day.
“We would ask the parents of students at Parkside and Chesterfield College to encourage them to come along even if they are not old enough to drive. A passenger who understands the dangers of driving in a particular manner can often influence the driver’s behaviour or make the decision not to travel with them at all.”
Victoria Sparkes, a community safety officer from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, added: “The winter months are of particular concern for the emergency services. Wintry driving conditions plus the early hours of darkness add to the potentially dangerous circumstances that all drivers need to be aware of. “
